Houndstooth gloves Yarn- any weight 2 Sport Weight, Fine, Baby Yarn Two contrasting colors of Vanna’s Glamour by Lion Brand http://www.lionbrand.com/yarns/vannasglamour.html One extra ball of one color or a third contrasting color. (examples seen below) Size D (3.25 mm) Steel Crochet hook. A bag of stitch markers (safety pins will work as an alternative) Yarns used for this glove were Red stone for the trim, Diamond and Onyx for the Houndstooth Pattern. Colors used for this glove are Topaz for the trim, and Topaz and Onyx for the Houndstooth portion. “The Pattern” Houndstooth Stitch – can be used to practice on a scarf or other items such as a swatch before constructing. The goal is to change the color every two rows creating a houndstooth effect.
